  PAINTINGS - Absolute Realism 2

Taking in a Ross Watson painting is like peering into a crystal clear photograph, a slice of reality - but where in the world would you see a perfectly sculpted woman perched atop a jet, radar dish lifted to the heavens?

"Surrealism has always been an interchangeable influence on my work," says the 38-year-old Melbourne-based artist. "I love paintings people look at and imagine walking into that scene thinking 'Well, it's not totally unfeasible'."
